Rocky Benedix - January 2008 Pet of the Month

We are pleased and proud to announce that Rocky Benedix was selected as the Winter Animal Hospital Pet of the Month for January 2008. Clyde & Beverly Benedix (your webmaster and proud parents)


Can't you just feel the love!		Would you believe that before this dog came to live with us, he lived in a kennel???

Zoey, Rocky's "main" girl friend.		Roper, or "Little R" is Rocky's (AKA "Big R") diminutive buddy.


The five pictures above should tell a story that take no words. In the pool with Rocky is his "other" girlfriend, Sophie, our daughter and son-in-law's dog (Courtney Benedix & Dan McWilliams) and our grandchild. Due to a leg injury (fixed by Dr. Winters) and concern for a possible reoccurrence, Rocky and Sophie no longer get to swim or run together.

Rocky like all of the other dogs and cats in the Benedix household was adopted from various sources and, while a Doberman pedigree, fit in quickly with all the other mutts and strays that call it home. We thank Dr. Greg and Dr. Winters for the love and care they have shown Rocky and all of the other critters in the Benedix household.

When we took Rocky for his first check-up, Dr. Greg said, "He is a leaner". We (my wife) took that to mean he was pretty thin (after all, his ribs were showing ;-). "No" explained Dr. Greg, "he is a leaner." Sure enough, Rocky was leaning against Dr. Greg like he had known him all his life (he likes to lean at home as well).

Rocky (and his caregivers) thanks Dr. Winter and staff for the honor of naming Rocky pet of the month.
